About Stikka SG
Stikka SG is the Singapore node of Stikka — an open-source way to print stickers and labels on label printers anywhere in the world, straight from your browser. It is hosted here by Edible Makerspace, an open-source, DIY bio-hacker makerspace exploring food futures.
How it works
- Design a label — image, text, QR or barcode. Everything is rendered in your browser.
- Pick a printer on the map. Each printer is an ESP32 board wired to a label printer, announcing itself over MQTT.
- Press print. The finished label travels over MQTT to that printer; there is no server in between.
Put your own printer on the map
Flash the ESP32 bridge from the ESP32 Flasher tab, open its setup page and set a printer name and fill in the Details (optional) box under it, which the map reads as the location (a city or country name works, or “My Space @1.35,103.82” for an exact spot). It shows up here with its flag within a minute.
